This one-day course is aimed at anyone who is involved in preparing and serving food to the general public, such as:
- young people thinking of a career in the food industry (14-19);
- new employees (induction training);
- people with minimal or no prior food safety knowledge;
- employees handling low-risk or wrapped food, such as breakfast club staff.
- school meals;
- breakfast;
- after school clubs.
Content
The course covers basic food hygiene and consists of:
- introduction to food safety;
- food safety hazards;
- principles of safe food storage;
- cooking;
- cleaning.
A maximum of eight will be trained at this centre on each date. Separate dates and venue can also be arranged for a larger group.
Time
8.45am – 4pm.
